Anna Mills - Physiotherapist

Anna Mills

Position: Physiotherapist - Newcastle

Anna is a conscientious physiotherapist with a passion for working with children and their families. She has a strong interest in early intervention, particularly with children aged two and under at risk of cerebral palsy.

At Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Anna worked with participants with a variety of disabilities, including babies at risk of cerebral palsy, cerebral palsy, achondroplasia and rare progressive neurological disorders such as ataxia telangiectasia and mucopolysaccharidoses.

Anna carried out a range of assessments in her role – often within a multidisciplinary team – which included:

  • Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination
  • Peabody assessment
  • Gross Motor Function Measure

She enjoys working with children with cerebral palsy, specifically analysing their movement and gait, prescribing ankle foot orthoses, pre- and post-Botox management, as well as liaising with multidisciplinary teams.

Anna has experience performing casting interventions to improve range and prescribing and applying for assistive technology equipment, such as standing frames, walking frames and race runners.

She is passionate about helping children achieve the skills that she loved as a child, such as skipping, bike riding and roller blading.

Anna is thrilled to be supporting NDIS participants in Newcastle.
