Hayley Leung

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hobart

Hayley loves being involved in increasing a person’s independence to help them do things that are meaningful and increase their wellbeing.

Having completed her university studies, she has been involved in many practical placements across a variety of settings, where she has been able to integrate her occupational therapy knowledge and skills in a clinical environment.

These placements include:

  • Telehealth settings, gaining experience in long handled aids, hand exercises, work ergonomics and manual handling strategies
  • Hospital setting, working with acute paediatrics across a range of diagnoses, including spina bifida, chronic pain and oncology. Experience gained in conducting paediatric assessments, developmental play sessions and equipment prescription
  • In-patient physical rehabilitation, working with adults undergoing orthopaedic rehab and reconditioning, initial assessments and equipment prescription

Hayley believes everyone is entitled to the best life possible and is looking forward to supporting participants in and around Hobart with gaining independence, choice and control over their daily tasks.
