Ishika Senghani

Ishika is a recent graduate who joins Ability Action Australia after completing her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.

Some of Ishika’s experience includes five years working as a Disability Support Worker, placements at Fremantle Mental Hospital and Joondalup Hospital, and Paediatric Occupational Therapy.

During this time, Ishika used various tools and assessments to support individuals with:

• Autism
• Spinal cord injuries and meningitis
• Encephalitis
• Intellectual disabilities and schizophrenia

Growing up, Ishika helped look after her brother who has Autism and is non-verbal, giving her a unique insight into the needs of people with disability.

In her own words: “I love building relationships and rapport with clients. Helping them achieve their goals and seeing that positive outcome no matter how little or big.”

Ishika is based in Herdsman, and supports NDIS participants throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
