Kate McGufficke

Position: Provisional Psychologist - Caroline Springs

Kate is a Provisional Psychologist based in Caroline Springs who has recently completed a Masters of Professional Psychology.

In addition to her formal training, Kate has worked as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, supporting children, adolescents, adults and elderly.

She has also worked as a Disability Support Worker for Cerebral Palsy Alliance, supporting verbal and non-verbal clients as well as clients with physical disability.

Her experience as a Senior Report Writer, saw her preparing standard, interim and comprehensive reports, as well as progress and recommendation reports for people with disability.

Kate supports people with a range of mental health conditions, utilising a variety of different psychological methods and tools such as:

  • WISC (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children)
  • WIAT (Wechsler Individual Achievement Test)
  • Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

According to Kate, “I love advocating for my client’s diverse needs and learning more about them as an individual. I also value delivering meaningful outcomes and sharing their successes with them, which I find so impactful and empowering.”
