NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider

Lydia Katsambe occupational therapist Hobart

Lydia Katsambe

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hobart

Lydia has extensive experience working as an occupational therapist with children and adults of all ages and abilities.

She has spent a considerable part of her career working with children in the following ways:

  • Working at a children’s home that catered for children living with physical, psychological and neurological problems. She was involved in successfully securing environmental modifications, such as wheelchair ramps and grab rails in bathrooms, while working at the home.
  • Supporting adolescents with disability through vocational rehabilitation and recreational activities. Her work led to many of her clients taking part in the Paralympic Games.
  • Working at a school for children with special needs. Common conditions included autism, cerebral palsy and behavioural problems such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Lydia has also worked with adults living with neurological conditions such as stroke, and mental health conditions.

“It’s rewarding when I work with an individual and they achieve a goal they thought was unattainable,” Lydia says.

She is thrilled to be supporting NDIS participants across Hobart.
