Ability Action Australia

NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider

Xiomara Rodas exercise physiologist in Melbourne

Xiomara Rodas

Position: Exercise Physiologist - Melbourne

Before joining Ability Action Australia, Xiomara worked for two years as a Community Exercise Physiologist in the aged care sector, providing in-home programs, hydrotherapy sessions, and delivering classes such as movement to music, tai chair, strength/balance, posture/flexibility and core/pelvic floor.

Xiomara started her career working with clients from the NDIS and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, working in gym settings and providing individualised programs. She found it incredibly rewarding to support people to achieve their goals and empower them to reach their full potential.

She has supported people living with a variety of conditions, including:

  • Musculoskeletal conditions
  • Chronic diseases
  • Mental illnesses
  • Neurological conditions

In her work, after completing an initial assessment Xiomara is able to individualise an exercise program to meet the individual’s goals and provide them with the support they need to create lifelong changes to their health and wellbeing.

She enjoys learning new things and being challenged to think creatively. It encourages her to develop as a clinician and strive to provide the best care possible.

Xiomara is thrilled to be working with participants at Ability Action Australia across Melbourne’s west.
