Working in the NDIS and community-based allied health roles
What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme?
The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to access supports and services that improve their independence, access to new skills, jobs, or their community, and an overall improved quality of life.
The NDIS supports over 500,000 Australians with disability to access the services and supports they need. This includes supporting approximately 80,000 children with developmental delay, ensuring they receive supports early so that they achieve the best outcomes throughout their lives.
How we work within the NDIS
Ability Action Australia provides a range of support services nationally, including occupational therapy, speech pathology and physiotherapy. Our allied health clinicians work in supportive, multi-disciplinary teams providing assessments and support to participants in a variety of settings, including their homes, schools and in the community.
