Since the beginning of the year, we’ve had 76 allied health graduates begin their careers with Ability Action Australia through our Graduate Program!
In January, 63 graduates joined Ability Action Australia with an additional 13 graduates commencing in March, ranging across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Speech Pathology.
We’d like to welcome all our graduates into the fold, including our newest graduates who officially begin their induction this week.
Our Graduate Program is a 12-month program for recent and upcoming graduates that provides the opportunity to accelerate learning and development in a structured and nurturing environment with ongoing support, mentoring and training.
Fiona Turk, Ability Action Australia’s Graduate Program Manager, says the feedback from graduates so far has been really positive.
“They really appreciate the support they receive on so many levels, and they say the team culture is very welcoming,” Fiona says.
“Graduates like their weekly one-on-one meetings with their manager, the supervised training sessions, flexible hours and the mix of working from home and from the office.”
One of the fantastic things about # is its multi-layered approach — offering three levels of built-in supervision and mentorship to ensure graduates are supported as they learn. This includes:
- Clinical learning and understanding — core clinical areas to build capacity and confidence as a clinician
- Non-technical and case management skills — soft skills for developing professional language and behaviour
- Professional and work coaching within your cohort — time management to successfully manage a caseload
Need proof that our graduates are happy with our offer? A recent graduate satisfaction survey conducted by Prosple (GradAustralia) rated Ability Action Australia’s # Graduate program a solid 4.2/5!
Applications are now open for the final graduate intake for 2022, commencing on 22 August. We are also taking Expressions of Interest for our 2023 Graduate Program.
