Support for you
Support for your child
If you are the parent or carer of a child with developmental delay, disability or Autism, we can provide support to you and support to your child.
We believe that as a parent or carer, you know your child best. So, when working with you, our main focus is to coach and empower you, and other adults in your child’s life, so that you can develop the skills and confidence to make the best decisions for your child and your family.
This can include helping you to understand what supports your child might need, how to navigate the NDIS and how to maximise your funding.
To do this, we’ll get to know you, your child and family. We’ll gain an understanding of your routines, priorities and goals. And we will build a strong and trusting relationship to deliver the appropriate support service.
“We are eternally grateful to Ability Action Australia for all of their efforts, individualising our son’s care and helping us to navigate diagnosis, NDIS plans and all of the extra help we have received.”

NDIS therapeutic, positive behaviour and employment supports
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a way of supporting people with permanent and significant disability. The NDIS is designed to give individuals greater choice and control over when, where and how their funded supports are provided. The specific support and funding available is based on each individual’s specific needs. You can find out more about what therapeutic supports are funded by referring to the NDIS website.
Ability Action Australia provides therapeutic, positive behaviour and employment supports across Australia.
