Important changes to service delivery

The wellbeing of our Participants, teams and community is our highest priority and, in line with public health advice, we are taking some necessary steps to ensure services are provided safely.

Telehealth appointments
Where appropriate we are offering our services by telehealth. We will be contacting Participants to see if Telehealth is a suitable alternative to face-to-face consultation and providing them with details of how to access their appointment.

Face-to-face appointments
We will still be conducting face-to-face appointments for cases where telehealth is not suitable. To ensure a safe environment, all our clinicians will undergo a screening procedure before consultations, sanitise their hands and equipment and wear full protective equipment.

Some additional restrictions apply in the Perth and Peel regions of Western Australia and these are outlined below.

We ask that people attending appointments do the following:

  • Wear a mask during the appointment (unless this is assessed as inappropriate).
  • Undergo screening before the appointment (screening questions are listed below).
  • Maintain physical distancing of 1.5 – 2 meters.
  • Participants who feel unwell or experience any symptoms, are asked not to attend their appointment. We recommend immediately getting a COVID test and isolating until the results are to hand.

Screening questions
We will ask you a number of questions before your appointment. If you answer yes to any of these, the appointment will not be able to proceed and we will rebook >14 days later.

    1. Have you visited any of the currently listed exposure sites nationally or travelled internationally in the past 14 days?
Exposure sites can be accessed at the following links by state: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA)
    2.  Are you currently experiencing any cold or flu symptoms?
    3. Have you had a COVID-19 test in the past 7 days?
    4. Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

Temporary service disruption in WA

There may be some temporary disruption to services in Greater Perth in the following cases:

  • Participants who are not deemed to be at clinical risk and where telehealth is not a suitable alternative.
  • Services in the South West where are clinicians are impacted by travel restrictions between regions.

Our team will contact any Participants affected to reschedule their appointments.
