NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider
Alex is a Behaviour Support Practitioner who supports NDIS participants up to 75 years old, with a particular focus on children and adolescents.
Prior to joining Ability Action Australia, Alex worked a range of roles within the disability support space, starting as a Mentor and Support Worker supporting NDIS participants from 14 to 65 with a focus on community engagement and inclusion.
He then worked as a Therapy Assistant, helping participants to achieve their goals in various settings and supporting Behaviour Support Practitioners.
In his most recent role as a Community-based Suport Worker, Alex closely supported participants with physical disabilities with everyday activities from getting up and showering in the morning, to going shopping.
Alex has worked with participants living with a wide range of disabilities including Schizophrenia, Autism, ADHD, Acquired Brain Injuries, Physical Disability, OCD, Intellectual Disability, Muscular Dystrophy, and Alzheimer’s.
Based in Jandakot, Alex enjoys “making a positive difference to people’s lives and being an advocate for those who struggle to advocate for themselves.”
He supports NDIS participants throughout Perth’s southern suburbs.
