Alexis Maalouf

Alexis is a recent Speech Pathology graduate who has just completed her Bachelor’s Degree.

During her studies, Alexis completed various community and clinical placements, where she had the opportunity to provide therapeutic services for children and adolescents living with disability.
She has experience improving communication in multiple settings, while also working closely with families to educate them on effective communication strategies.

A particular highlight for Alexis was participating in a meeting with the Council for Intellectual Disability, where she had the chance to listen to the concerns of adults living with intellectual disability in healthcare settings.

According to Alexis: “It fulfills me to know that I can help support communication between individuals living with a disability with their family and friends.”

Alexis is joining Ability Action Australia’s team in Caringbah, and supports NDIS participants in Wollongong and Sutherland Shire.
