Nick D'Amelio

Nick D’Amelio

Position: Exercise Physiologist - Melbourne

Nick uses a person-centered approach to ensure his exercise programs are tailored to the individual needs of his NDIS participants.

With a focus on achieving behavioural change, he has developed exercise interventions for adolescents, adults and older people across a range of settings, including in the gym and the pool (hydrotherapy).

Nick is skilled at performing a range of assessments and clinical exercise prescriptions, including:

  • Strength, range of motion, balance and coordination assessments
  • Exercise programs tailored to the individual, and designed to overcome mobility limitations and improve confidence

A key area of interest is supporting people experiencing chronic pain, such as lower back pain.

Having worked locally and overseas, Nick has exceptional skills in the use of exercise interventions such as Pilates to help clients improve their strength, cardiovascular endurance, balance and mobility.

Empowering people to lead more active lives and exceeding their expectations of what they can achieve are his main professional goals.

Nick is thrilled to be supporting NDIS participants with Ability Action Australia across Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.
