Ability Action Australia

NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider

Erin, Exercise Physiologist

Erin Schwenke

Position: Exercise Physiologist - Melbourne

Erin started her career as an exercise physiologist with a company in Townsville, where she supported Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Medicare and NDIS patients. It was in this role she gained her first experience helping clients overcome different conditions, including musculoskeletal and mental health-related conditions.

From there, Erin moved to Victoria, where she continued to develop her skills and knowledge in a similar environment. She worked with adults, children and young adults living with a range of conditions, including autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Asperger syndrome and acquired brain injury.

In her role with Ability Action Australia, Erin takes a proactive and personable approach with participants, educating them and helping to support them on their journey, be it towards making a full recovery, or learning to live with, and manage, chronic conditions.

Erin has a wide set of responsibilities, including:

  • Assessing participants for a wide range of conditions
  • Developing individualised exercise programs
  • Educating clients about their injuries and health conditions

“I love supporting people to improve and reach their goals. It’s always satisfying to see clients feeling better about themselves and learning how to best manage their conditions,” she says.

Based in Prahran, Erin is eager to support NDIS participants across outer western Melbourne.
