Position: Senior Physiotherapist - Newcastle

A highly-skilled Senior Physiotherapist with a passion for improving the quality of life of children and young adults with disability, Abbey has experience working in different settings and providing tailored support to individuals with a range of complex disability.

Abbey has provided non-for-profit early intervention services for children up to the age of 12. She was responsible providing NDIS services to children with developmental delays and disability and education sessions to multidisciplinary teams on the role of physiotherapy and child development.

In another role, Abbey provided mobile, community physiotherapy services to paediatric and young adult patients with a variety of complex disability, including cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, developmental delays, chromosomal and genetic conditions, Down syndrome and spina bifida.

Abbey is able to providing assessments and interventions tailored to each individual’s unique needs. In addition to this, Abbey can:

  • Prescribe and set up a range of supportive equipment
  • Develop SMART goals and completing NDIS paperwork
  • Liaise with families and support networks

“I love helping people achieve their goals and seeing them be included in their chosen activities. I also love collaborating with participants, their family and support team,” she says.

Based in Broadmeadow, Abbey is supporting NDIS participants across Hunter New England.
