Ability Action Australia
NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider
Darcy is a Behaviour Support Practitioner, whose approach emphasises inclusivity, empathy, and a dedication to enhancing the quality of life for her clients. She previously held the role of Support Worker and Service Coordinator at Gracious Australia, adeptly working with clients from the age of 18 months to 60 years old. In this capacity, she primarily worked with individuals on the autism spectrum, but also supported those with psychosocial disabilities and epilepsy. The support she provided focused heavily on fostering independence and confidence in her clients, through positive social interactions and community engagement.
Darcy further honed her skills in another role as a Social Group Facilitator at Spectrum Space, where she worked with adults on the autism spectrum. Here, she led non-therapeutic, strengths-based social groups that aimed to promote fun and healthy relationships.
In her current role with Ability Action Australia, Darcy works hard to ensure clients:
“I love meeting new people, and being able to make a positive impact on their lives. I have found so much value in working with individuals living with disability, and have learnt to be more inclusive and equitable: both qualities that I value highly.”
Based in Osborne Park, Darcy is looking forward to supporting NDIS participants in Northern Perth.
