Position: Behaviour Support Practitioner - Newcastle

Elliott is an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with a passion for supporting participants to live the life they want to live. His career spans 16 years, including in roles as a Local Area Coordinator, Disability Employment Consultant, Disability Support Worker (Key Worker), Social Worker, Development Officer and Community coach.

In his most recent role as a Local Area Coordinator, Elliott was responsible for supporting participants aged seven years old and over in all NDIS domains. He guided participants by facilitating planning discussions, collecting information, constructing plans, overseeing implementation, and providing continuous support, connection, and monitoring.

Elliott has experience conducting a range of assessments relating to different conditions, including:

  • Multiple sclerosis: patient-determined disease steps
  • Cerebral palsy: gross motor functional classification scale
  • Hearing: functional impact of hearing loss
  • Stroke: modified ranking scale
  • Vision: functional impact on vision loss

He can also carry out WHO Disability Assessment Schedules and the Paediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory Computer Adaptive Test.

“I am extremely passionate about supporting people with disability to overcome barriers or challenging situations,” he says.

Elliott is excited to be supporting participants in Hunter New England.
