Position: Behaviour Support Practitioner - Hobart

Kit is a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner at Ability Action Australia. With over a decade of experience in community services, Kit has a passion for supporting individuals diagnosed with various disability to improve their quality of life.

Kit has supported participants living with autism, acquired brain injuries, intellectual disability and anxiety disorder. With his skills as a qualified Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner, Kit has successfully supported young adults with psychosocial disability and behaviours of concern, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Currently, Kit is working towards completing his Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy, further enhancing his knowledge and expertise in the field. He is also in the process of registering as a mental health accredited Social Worker, a testament to his commitment to providing the highest level of care to his clients.

At Ability Action Australia, Kit enjoys supporting NDIS participants any way he can. Some of his primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducing behavioural assessments
  • Building tailored support plans to suit each participant
  • Collaborating with participants’ families and caregivers

“Working with people with disability allows me to find meaning in even the smallest accomplishments and seeing the long-term impact of my support is truly fulfilling,” he says.
