Position: Business Partner - Victoria

Lara is a Business Partner with a wealth of clinical experience working as a physiotherapist. For the past eight years, she has worked in residential aged care, clinics and the community while supervising limited registration, new graduate and student physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

As a clinician, Lara has worked with adults of all ages, with a special interest in functional neurological rehabilitation and goal-oriented care – enabling people to live their best lives.

Her most recent role incorporated operational and project work, leading pilot programs in collaboration with the department of health to influence aged care funding reform, and establishing and managing national learning, development and graduate training programs.

A capable leader, Lara has experience driving high-performing teams, managing occupational therapists and physiotherapists, both clinically and toward leadership roles, whilst fostering supportive team cultures.

At Ability Action Australia, Lara is responsible for:

  • Working alongside business leaders to plan new initiatives
  • Identifying business function opportunities
  • Correlating business priorities and value to planning activities

“I’m passionate about education and advocacy, empowering and supporting each individual to live the life they choose while driving a motivated, like-minded team to improve outcomes for participants,” she says.
