NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider

Laura Gray

Position: Senior Occupational Therapist - Blacktown/Hills District

Laura is an Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience in roles in public and community health.

This includes experience as an Acute Mental Health Clinician, where Laura was responsible for mental health triage and assessments, as well as safe discharge planning.

Prior to that, Laura provided Occupational Therapy support in adult inpatient psychiatric wards, developing ward programs and conducting Functional Assessments and Interventions.

Over her various roles, Laura has serviced clients living with:

  • Cognitive disability and mental health
  • Acquired and traumatic brain injuries
  • Co-morbid conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD

In addition to her professional experience, Laura is also proud to have helped launch Beautiful Minds Bankstown, a community-organised and led support organisation which focuses on fighting mental health stigma, and played a key role in launching Pet Therapy and Visitation in South West Sydney inpatient mental health facilities.

Laura believes that Occupational Therapy is a two way street. “We learn from each other and work with each other. We are so lucky to be able to experience this ‘work’ as this truly enriches the journey for all of us.”

Laura is based in Blacktown, and supports NDIS participants throughout Sydney’s suburbs.
