NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider

Maddie, Speech Pathologist

Maddie Hng

Position: Speech Pathologist - Sydney

A Speech Pathologist with three years’ experience working in the speech support field, Maddie has worked with participants from across the lifespan – including adults and children. She has supported those living with autism, intellectual disability, global developmental delay, cerebral palsy, language delays and developmental delays.

At Ability Action Australia, Maddie plays a vital role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders. Her primary goal is to help individuals of all ages improve their ability to communicate effectively and, in the case of swallowing disorders, safely.

Maddie has experience conducting various formal and informal assessments (CELF-5, CELF-P2, DEAP, PLS-5) as well as speech therapy with people from various cultural backgrounds as she comes from a trilingual background and understands and respects the cultural differences in her participants.

She also enjoys working with people with disability who use alternative and augmentative communication devices, including:

  • Low-tech AAC (PECS, communication boards)
  • High-tech AAC (LAMP, Proluoquo2Go, GoTalk and more)

“I love being a part of someone’s journey. It’s rewarding to watch my participants achieve the goals that they set for themselves,” she says.

Based in Penrith, Maddie is supporting NDIS participants across The Hills Shire and Blacktown.
