Meredith Kinnane

Position: Behaviour Support Practitioner - Queensland

Meredith has a wealth of experience assisting individuals, especially those with behaviours of concern. Prior to joining Ability Action Australia, she dedicated four years to working with NDIS participants, and more specifically has worked as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for the previous three. Endorsed as an Advanced Practitioner with her background being in psychology and counselling, Meredith is deeply committed to adopting a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to behaviour support.

Her focus is on recognising an individual’s unique strengths, and how to utilise them to encourage positive change. She can assist individuals by creating tailored strategies that best address their unique needs, in order to reduce the occurrence and impact of behaviours of concern, and overall improve wellbeing and quality of life.

In her role with Ability Action Australia, she can support NDIS participants with:

  • Functional Behaviour Assessments
  • Behaviour Support Plan Development
  • Evidence-based clinical management and intervention

Meredith says “I believe strongly in the power of collaboration, and am committed to working alongside participants and their support teams to achieve their goals.”

Based in Yeerongpilly, Meredith is supporting NDIS participants across Southeast Queensland.
