Michael, Occupational Therapist

Michael Lovelock

Position: Occupational Therapist - Queensland

As an Occupational Therapist, Michael brings passion and commitment to each individual he works with, to help them achieve their occupational goals.

For the last 2 years Michael has worked in private practice. His experience there had a strong focus on assisting clients between the ages of 0 to 18 years, and with a range of disabilities. He is adept in developing skills with his clients across areas such as fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, personal self-care and hygiene, social skills, and emotional regulation.

In order to ensure his clients can participate in their communities and society, he can help with:

  • School readiness
  • Accessing the community
  • Transitioning from school to the workplace

He has a wealth of experience working with clients with sensory processing and executive functioning difficulties, including those living with autism, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, global development delay and Down syndrome.

In his role with Ability Action Australia, Michael can also conduct assessments and evaluations.

Michael says “I love supporting individuals with living with disability, and being able to help them make a difference in their own lives.”

He is supporting NDIS participants across Gold Coast, Logan, Logan Village, and Yarrabilba.
