Position: Team Leader and Occupational Therapist - North Lakes

Nicole is an accomplished Occupational Therapist and Team Leader with over a decade of experience in various healthcare settings. Her career commenced in South Africa in 2013, where she gained invaluable experience working in a tertiary hospital across multiple departments, including paediatrics, acute neurorehabilitation, plastics (predominantly burns), orthopaedic and medical wards.

From 2014 to 2017, Nicole transitioned into private practice, specialising in hand and upper limb therapy. During this time, she also ventured into the realm of vocational rehabilitation, broadening her expertise. In 2017, she relocated to New Zealand and took on a full-time role as a Vocational Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist.

In 2019, she trained as a Community Occupational Therapist, specialising in concussion and chronic pain rehabilitation. In this role, she gained experience carrying out:

  • Social rehabilitation needs assessments
  • Occupational assessments
  • Assistive device prescription

“There’s nothing more rewarding than playing a part in improving another person’s life and ability. Each person deserves to live their life to the absolute fullest, and I love being a part of each participant’s journey,” she says.

Based in North Lakes, Nicole supporting NDIS participants across Brisbane and the surrounding areas.
