Ability Action Australia

NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider

Rhiannon, Key Worker

Rhiannon Spence

Position: Key Worker - NSW

Rhiannon’s role as a Key Worker embodies her compassionate approach to supporting young children with disabilities and developmental delays, along with their families. Rhiannon’s background is in the education sector, having worked in Children Services and out-of-hours school care, and then as a primary school teacher for eight years, working with the lower or infant years. In this role she collaborated closely with Learning and Support teams and navigated the complexities of diverse student needs. Her experience included engagement with students from non-English speaking backgrounds, and students with complex medical needs and neurodevelopmental conditions. Rhiannon’s area of interest is in supporting children aged 0-9 with learning and behavioural disabilities, especially ADHD and ASD. She has unique personal experience in this area, as a parent of two children with ASD level 2. This intimate understanding fuels her commitment to learn and develop as a parent and practitioner, and to empower individuals living with disabilities.

In her role with Ability Action Australia, Rhiannon can:

  • Conduct assessments
  • Develop care plans
  • Tailor interventions to meet the individual needs of the children and families

“I love learning from people’s individuality and I am extremely passionate about supporting all people to be the best that they can be, and to achieve what they desire in their life” says Rhiannon.

Based in Camden, Rhiannon is looking forward to providing support to NDIS participants in the surrounding area.
