NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider

Shani, Behaviour Support Practitioner

Shani Stanton

Position: Behaviour Support Practitioner - Brisbane

Shani is a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner with a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science degree in 2023, and worked in a psychology clinic during her studies, gaining invaluable experience in the mental health sector.

Since graduating, Shani transitioned into the NDIS sector, working as Services Coordinator. In this role she worked closely with participants to understand their needs and preferences for support, in order to effectively recruit suitable support workers for them. She was also able to provide opportunities for participants to provide feedback, to ensure the support they were receiving was effective.

Her experience spans a diverse age group ranging from 5 to 67 years old, and covers a wide range of disabilities, including physical, psychosocial, and intellectual disabilities.

In her current role with Ability Action Australia, Shani can:

  • Conduct assessments to understand suitable supports
  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans
  • Create tailored interventions

“I thoroughly enjoy the continuous opportunity to learn and work collaboratively with participants” she says.

Shani is excited to be supporting NDIS participants across northern Brisbane.
