Ability Action Australia
NDIS Therapeutic Supports Provider
Stephanie is a Therapy Assistant at Ability Action Australia. Currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology, Stephanie has already gained valuable skills through her clinical experience working with paediatric clients in a community health centre.
This included assisting in conducting various language screeners and assessments such as the CELF-P3, CELF-5, DEAP, and PLS-5. Through this, Stephanie gained hands-on experience assisting children facing challenges including speech and language delays, stutters, developmental language disorder, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.
Prior to her current role, Stephanie also worked as a client services officer in a private psychology practice, which focused largely on treating children and adolescents aged 3-18. Despite the administrative nature of the role, Stephanie actively engaged with clients with ASD, ADHD, and in psychological distress. Her responsibilities involved liaising with the NDIS, Medicare, and private health funds, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers and caregivers.
“I love the opportunity to learn from others life experiences, and to apply my own knowledge and experience to help people with disabilities to flourish” says Stephanie.
Based in Penrith, Stephanie is looking forward to supporting participants across metropolitan Sydney.
